New Pixel Types for points_foerstner

  • Subpixel accurate point finders like points_foerstnerare the basis for all point matching applications like
    • Mosaicking
    • Self-calibration
    • Uncalibrated stereo
  • For all these applications the precision is important

  • Therefore, HALCON 7.1 supports uint2 and real valued pixels
  • uint2 is the pixel type of cameras with a higher bit depth (like 10, 12, or 14 bits)
  • With the higher bit depth the points can be extracted with higher precision
