Background: The IA Exhibition was first staged in 1990 to promote the advent of automation for the manufacturing industry in Asia. Since then, it has grown over 5 shows to become Asia's leading regional event for industrial automation and supply chain management, visited by buyers and end-users from virtually every country in Asia. In 1997, the event was supported by some 300 exhibiting companies and welcomed 7,945 visitors from 33 countries.
