Background: Founded in 1984, Automated Imaging Association (AIA, organizer of The Vision Show San Jose) is the only trade association in North America organized specifically to serve machine vision suppliers and machine vision users. Its more than 210 member companies include leading manufacturers of machine vision components and systems, users of machine vision, machine vision system integrators, universities and non-profit research groups active in machine vision, and financial firms that track the machine vision industry. Key AIA activities include sponsorship of machine vision shows, machine vision conferences and workshops, and publication of the annual Machine Vision Market Study.
MVTec Software GmbH displays on the showground its new product line ActivVisionTools. A brief overview on the technical background will be given during a talk in the conference session on new developments in PC-based vision systems.
