ActivVisionTools 2.2: Enhanced Speed, Flexibility, and Robustness

In May 2003, MVTec releases the new ActivVisionTools version 2.2. Outstanding feature: ActivVisionTools support a wider range of programming environments. In addition to Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, you now can use the whole family of tools also in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 as well as in Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, and Microsoft C# .NET.

Measurements are processed significantly faster as in former ActivVisionTools versions: In a few milliseconds the user can calculate distances, control the production quality, or check the completeness of a charge.

All supported 1D bar codes are now being read reliably even under adverse conditions, e.g., if the bar code’s elements are very thin, or show defects like markings or spots. Even distortions like frames or additional lines close to the bar code do not affect the identification. The extensive list of already supported 1D bar codes now includes two further types: PharmaCode und Code 93.

ActivVisionTools are a family of ActiveX components, which enable you to configure machine vision applications intuitively. No need for acquiring complex new programming skills – your task is solved surprisingly speedy, which means a substantial reduction of costs.
