Measurement of Tools with HALCON

The company E. Zoller GmbH & Co. KG is the leading manufacturer of presetter and measuring machines in the world.

Besides the fine mechanics of the machine the central point is the exact measurement of the tools in the video image. The complete analysis of the images is done with HALCON. With the use of specific subpixel algorithms the geometric properties of the tools are measured with an absolute precision better than two microns. The HALCON camera calibration guarantees the same precision in the whole field of view. The measure task is automatically extracted from the shape of the tool. And with the fast HALCON routines the image processing is done in real-time.
