Stations of the tour:

MVtec: Count a large number of objects quickly and robustly and detect their position

Hall B5, Booth 303

The new deep-learning-based technology Deep Counting offers significant advantages over existing machine vision methods: The feature can be deployed very quickly, since only very few objects need to be labeled and trained – both steps can be easily done within HALCON. The technology provides reliable results even for objects of highly reflective and amorphous material. With Deep Counting large numbers of objects such as glass bottles, tree trunks, or food can be counted.

PHIL-VISION: Stereo 3D Inspection System

Hall B5, Booth 100

phil-vision will show a system where two cameras inspect boxes of different sizes, previously unknown, for defects and dimensions. The software is based on MVTec HALCON. First, check if the walls/planes are rectangular, from the planar volume dimensions are calculated. Various features of the 3D point clouds are measured and extracted. The system checks and locates deviations in the surface profile of the boxes.

phil-vision develops solutions for a wide range of image processing applications – from barcode reading to automatic object detection, 2D- and 3D-measurement tools, and AI solutions, from system design to a fully integrated solution. Their aim is to “make your vision come true”. They have been an MVTec Certified Integration Partner since 2018.

WENGLOR: Wenglor Smart Cameras for HALCON

Hall B5, Booth 308

With the uniVision Script license package, MVTec HALCON scripts created in MVTec's HDevelop software can be easily loaded and directly executed in the MVTec HALCON script module of the uniVision 3 software, thanks to pre-installed HDevEngine. Discover with us the big world of parameterization and programming in the uniVision ecosystem with integrated interfaces and web-based visualization!

wenglorMEL, a pioneer in the field of 2D and 3D object measurement with more than 30 years of experience, develops automation solutions in the field of laser measurement and offers optoelectronic distance sensors and laser scanners for the machine vision market. They are an MVTec Image Aquisition Partner since 2016.

BITFLOW: CoaXPress over Fiber brings high speed image streams efficiently and affordable into MVTec HALCON

Hall B5, Booth 509

In this demonstration, BitFlow's is showing its new CoaXPress over Fiber (CoF) frame grabber. It captures data from CoF cameras at data rates up to 40 Gb/S, supports cable lengths of many kilometers, and uses low-cost off-the-shelf fiber cable assemblies. The grabber is feeding high speed images directly into MVTec HALCON's memory buffers. The HALCON program shown here has very few lines of code, yet is capable of some very powerful object tracking.

BitFlow has been making frame grabbers for the Machine Vision market since 1993. BitFlow focuses on the high-speed, high-resolution, non-standard format section of the image market. BitFlow's frame grabbers were one of the first to be integrated with HALCON back in 1997. BitFlow is an MVTec Image Aquisition Partner.

SPECIM: Automated and real-time color and surface characterization with MVTec HALCON

Hall B5, Booth 104

The CoboSense automated robot system empowered with an industry-proven Specim FX hyperspectral camera and SpecimCUBE data processing platform enables accurate, automated, and real-time color and surface characterization. Through the GigE Vision standard, the data captured by Specim cameras can be seamlessly received and used by MVTec’s software products to develop advanced machine vision applications. CobotSense uses HALCON python connector for data acquisition.

Specim is the leading global supplier of hyperspectral imaging solutions. Specim's portfolio covers hyperspectral cameras from visible and near-infrared to the thermal wavelength range, software systems, and accessories. The SpecimONE spectral imaging platform enables fast and easy adaptation of hyperspectral technology to industrial applications. Specim is an MVTec Image Aquisition Partner.
