There are two license models to choose from to meet your individual needs:

MVTec HALCON Progress Student Edition

  • based on HALCON Progress
  • receives new features as soon as they are ready for the market (~every 6 months)
  • comes without technical support
  • time-restricted license (max. one semester)
  • licenses can be split and shared
  • license activation via web portal
  • licenses are distributed directly through MVTec and can be requested on our website
  • free of charge

Academic teaching

The employees of the research department regularly give lectures on machine vision at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and supervise bachelor, master and doctoral theses. Additionally, MVTec offers interesting internships for students who are interested in machine vision.

MVTec sponsors the DAGM MVTec Dissertation Award of the German Association for Pattern Recognition (DAGM) in order to honor outstanding dissertations in the fields of pattern recognition, image processing, machine vision, and machine learning.
