As an important industry gathering, Vision Shenzhen offers MVTec the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the technological expertise in machine vision that the company has accumulated over the last 25 years.
“After a long period without trade shows, we are looking forward to interacting in person with our customers, partners, and other interested parties in China again. Backed by a quarter century of machine vision experience, we’ll provide demonstrations of our technology leadership. With our customers as sparring partners and our strong team of experts, we’ll continue to provide the best possible machine vision products for our customers in the future,” Dr. Olaf Munkelt, Managing Director of MVTec, comments.
Visitors to booth 8H17 will be able to take a first-hand look at the latest versions of MVTec’s machine vision software products HALCON & MERLIC and to learn more about current trends and technologies in machine vision.
Exciting live demos deliver transparent practical insights
MVTec experts will use live demos to deliver practical insights into efficiently solving many common types of machine vision applications. A showcase, for example, will demonstrate how common bar and data codes can be read using MVTec’s software, regardless of orientation – even if the element width is less than one pixel or if the code is partially obscured. Another demo using the MERLIC software will show how deep-learning-based anomaly detection easily and effectively facilitates the automated inspection of surfaces. Only a small number of ”good” images is required for training and, in contrast to other deep learning methods, no tedious labeling is required.
In another multiplatform demo, MVTec shows that both software products HALCON and MERLIC work on various embedded devices and support AI accelerators that make use of, for example, OpenVINO or TensorRT. With its AI Accelator Interface (AI2), MVTec offers an open interface to allow other deep learning hardware accelerators to be connected, thus enhancing the capabilities of existing hardware setups with ease and at affordable prices.
In addition, Presales Engineer Zhang Jiaji will deliver a presentation on "Let your machine vision applications benefit from deep learning" from 10:00 to 10:30 on November 16 at the exhibition seminar center, giving practical insights into the deep learning applications of the MVTec software.
