Description
The operator create_bar_code_modelcreate_bar_code_modelCreateBarCodeModelCreateBarCodeModelCreateBarCodeModelcreate_bar_code_model
creates a generic model for
reading all types of supported bar code symbols. The result of this operator
is a handle to the bar code model (BarCodeHandleBarCodeHandleBarCodeHandleBarCodeHandlebarCodeHandlebar_code_handle
), which is used
for all further operations on the bar code, like modifying the model,
reading a symbol, or accessing the results of the symbol search.
In general, bar codes will be found and decoded without any additional
adjustment of the parameters. Therefore, GenParamNameGenParamNameGenParamNameGenParamNamegenParamNamegen_param_name
and
GenParamValueGenParamValueGenParamValueGenParamValuegenParamValuegen_param_value
are empty tuples by default. In the case of poor
image quality or abnormal geometric characteristics of the bar code,
which requires special parameter settings for a successful decoding of
the bar code symbols, parameters can be adjusted already while creating
the bar code model. Alternatively, parameters can be changed later on as
well by applying the operator set_bar_code_paramset_bar_code_paramSetBarCodeParamSetBarCodeParamSetBarCodeParamset_bar_code_param
or
set_bar_code_param_specificset_bar_code_param_specificSetBarCodeParamSpecificSetBarCodeParamSpecificSetBarCodeParamSpecificset_bar_code_param_specific
. For a detailed
description of the available model parameters see set_bar_code_paramset_bar_code_paramSetBarCodeParamSetBarCodeParamSetBarCodeParamset_bar_code_param
.
Execution Information
- Multithreading type: reentrant (runs in parallel with non-exclusive operators).
- Multithreading scope: global (may be called from any thread).
- Processed without parallelization.
This operator returns a handle. Note that the state of an instance of this handle type may be changed by specific operators even though the handle is used as an input parameter by those operators.

Result
The operator create_bar_code_modelcreate_bar_code_modelCreateBarCodeModelCreateBarCodeModelCreateBarCodeModelcreate_bar_code_model
returns the value 2 (H_MSG_TRUE) if the
given parameters are correct. Otherwise, an exception will be raised.
