Using a Plug-in for the Process Integration
To use your plug-in in the process integration mode of MERLIC, you have to start the Communicator and you also should start MERLIC in process integration mode, i.e., MERLIC RTE, to avoid a timeout.
As soon as the Communicator has been started, you can access the configuration of the Communicator plug-ins in the "Communication" tab of the MERLIC RTE Setup. Communicator plug-ins can be instantiated multiple times, i.e., you can use multiple instances of a plug-in with an individual configuration. In the MERLIC RTE Setup, you can therefore work with instances of the respective plug-in. If you add a new plug-in instance, you can check the current configuration for this instance and adjust the available user parameters that have been defined in the implementation of the respective plug-in. In addition, you can also start and stop the selected instances of the Communicator plug-ins in the MERLIC RTE Setup.
It is also possible to start the Communicator with specific settings, e.g., port setting, log level, or define specific settings for the plug-in during the startup.
