MERLIC Tool Development Manual

MERLIC enables you to use customized tools developed in HALCON to extend the provided standard tool set of MERLIC. This means that you can add functionality to MERLIC that is customized to perform an image processing task.

MERLIC tools can easily be created within HALCON's integrated development environment, called HDevelop. The building blocks of MERLIC are the HDevelop procedures. In order to create tools, you need to be able to write an HDevelop program. If you need help working with HDevelop, just contact your local HALCON distributor and ask for a training (visit our website at www.mvtec.com to find your local distributor).

Requirements

  • MERLIC licensing add-on "Extension Tools". It is part of the license package "X-Large". However, it can also be purchased as add-on to the license packages "Small", "Medium", and "Large".
  • HALCON 24.05 Progress for the development of custom tools. To get HALCON, visit our website at www.mvtec.com and find your local distributor.
