Deep-learning-based OCR in Action – MVTec MERLIC

This video shows a MERLIC-based machine vision solution reading use-by dates with the help of MERLIC's deep-learning-based "Read Text and Numbers" tool. The application is running on a standard industrial PC with a standard industrial camera and PLC. The setup powerfully demonstrates MERLIC’s all-in-one approach, from image acquisition to image processing up to controlling attached industrial machines via a PLC.
