The next version of HALCON will be released on May, 20, 2020. In the course of the following weeks, we will gradually publish spotlights to preview some of the features included in this version.
The bar code reader has been improved by an advanced decoding algorithm, which increases the decoding rate when reading codes with very small element sizes. Thanks to this, the bar code reader in HALCON 20.05 is even capable of reading codes with an element size smaller than 1 pixel.
