automatica 2020 has been cancelled.
The next great opportunity to meet MVTec in person, will be our MVTec Innovation Day on February 3rd, 2021.
What we had planned:
MVTec shows at Automatica 2020 how machine vision can be used to optimize processes in automation and robotics. Live demonstrations enable visitors to experience the use of modern machine vision technologies in automation scenarios up close.
OPC UA Demonstrator at the booth of VDMA Robotics + Automation
MVTec is promoting the usability of the Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA) standard. OPC UA ensures consistent data exchange between different industrial components regardless of the manufacturer, platform, and operating system. For this purpose, MVTec is collaborating on the OPC UA Companion Specification for Machine Vision (OPC Machine Vision for short) as a member of the VDMA (Mechanical Engineering Industry Association). This is a companion specification that serves the specific needs of the machine vision sector.
This future-oriented approach of a standardized and manufacturer-independent data exchange is now presented by the VDMA Robotics + Automation with its OPC UA demonstrator at Automatica 2020. Visit the VDMA in hall B4 at booth 318 to see how MVTec HALCON can be part of an OPC machine vision application and be controlled by it. With the help of a sample application, which shows the counting of Lego bricks using blob analysis, you can experience live, how MVTec HALCON can be used in the context of Industry 4.0.
