Leuze electronic's LPS36 sensor offers economic laser line scanning for object detection and profile measurement. Measurement values in mm are transmitted via ethernet and if combined with a synchronized encoder input provide high performance, low cost 3D imaging. This video shows a low cost vision solution for a robot pick and place system using HALCON's 3D image processing software in combination with an LPS36 sensor.
