Technology Days - Deep Learning

In these seminars you will learn how to use deep learning in your image processing applications using the deep learning technology classification, object detection and semantic segmentation. In small groups our experienced trainers will show you as HALCON user what deep learning can accomplish within your application.

Day 1

Classification example: Quality inspection of pills

With the help of the deep learning technology classification, you will learn how to use deep learning in your image processing applications:

  • Introduction to HALCON-specific basics regarding deep learning
  • Background knowledge about deep learning in industrial machine vision applications
  • Best practices for setting up deep learning applications
  • "Hands-on" approach: creating deep learning image classification applications using the MVTec Deep Learning Tool
  • Learn how to evaluate your trained deep learning networks inside MVTec Deep Learning Tool
  • Apply your self-trained deep learning network to new images within HALCON

Day 2

Object detection example: Completeness

With the deep learning technology object detection and semantic segmentation you will learn how to use deep learning in your image processing applications. Based on Day 1, you will learn more about how to use the deep learning technologies object detection and semantic segmentation in HALCON:

  • Introduction and best practices for the deep learning technologies object detection and semantic segmentation
  • "Hands-on" approach to a deep learning problem for object detection – from labeling in MVTec Deep Learning Tool over training in HALCON to inference in HALCON
  • Choosing the right deep learning method for your own application
