2D deep learning for shelf slot identification

Using 2D Deep Learning technologies, MVTec’s HALCON is able to identify where the goods will be stored and if there is enough storage space on shelves.

For this, a mobile robot is equipped with a 2D camera to drive past the shelves and take pictures.  The software outputs the free storage spaces and the size of the respective storage space.
