Protecting a MERLIC Vision App

MERLIC offers you a password protection for your MERLIC Vision Apps. If you want to ensure that only selected users are allowed to see and edit the content of a MERLIC Vision App in the MERLIC Creator, you can protect your MERLIC Vision App with a password.

By default, a MERLIC Vision App is not protected and can be opened and edited in the MERLIC Creator by any user. If a MERLIC Vision App is protected with a password, you have to enter the password when loading the MVApp. Otherwise, the MVApp is not loaded in the MERLIC Creator. Protected MVApps can be identified by the label "(protected)" in the window title of MERLIC. When editing the password protection of an MVApp, the MERLIC status bar gives information about the changes. If an MVApp is protected, its files in the corresponding *.mvapp archive can not be accessed anymore.
