Communication Plug-ins
MERLIC provides the some standard communication plug-ins that can be used immediately after the installation. Most of them are implemented for the communication via specific types of protocols and clients to control and monitor the vision system whereas the "save-results" plug-in can be used to save data on disk.
Communication plug-ins can be configured on the "Communication" tab of the MERLIC RTE Setup. For more information, see Setting Up Communication Plug-ins.
When a plug-in is started, it will be executed in a host process of MERLIC RTE. In addition, it will receive "events" from MERLIC to monitor the vision system and can post "actions" to control MERLIC.
