MERLIC Runtime Environment Setup
The MERLIC Runtime Environment Setup (MERLIC RTE Setup) is a stand-alone application that provides a graphical user interface for the configuration of image sources and the configuration of various components for the process integration.
It provides several tabs for the configuration of the respective components. On the "Image Sources" tab, you can set up multiple image source configurations and define a default configuration for the process integration. On the "Recipes" tab, you can manage the available MERLIC recipe files. On the "Communication" and "I/O" tab, you can set up the different types of plug-ins for the communication with a machine controller such as a programmable logic controller (PLC).
The MERLIC RTE Setup can be used on the local system but also on remote systems. It can be connected to a different system to configure components on the remote system. However, not all configuration tabs of the MERLIC RTE Setup are available during on remote connections. For more information, see Selecting the System for MERLIC RTE Setup.
To use the MERLIC RTE Setup, no MERLIC license is required. This could be helpful, for example, if you have already installed your process integration setup but need to reconfigure your image sources.
