Parallel Processing

MERLIC allows the parallel processing of tools to perform multiple tasks at the same time. When the execution of a MERLIC Vision App (MVApp) is triggered, for example, via the or button in the menu bar, the image acquisition is done first before the tool flow of the MVApp is executed. This applies for each execution cycle. Thus, a continuous execution corresponds to a series of single executions. Independent tool flows The tool flow of a MERLIC Vision App (MVApp) represents the sequence of tools and tool connections that have been configured for the MVApp. It defines the individual image processing steps that are performed when the MVApp is executed and visualizes dependencies between tools. The tool flow of the current MVApp is displayed in the Tool Flow panel of the MERLIC Creator. will be started at the same time but might not finish at the same time if they are not synchronized by using a common tool. If the tool flows are not synchronized, faster tool flows will be idle until started again at the next execution.
