Using Hilscher PCI Cards

If a Hilscher card is used for the process integration mode of MERLIC, various options are available while MERLIC RTE is running. As soon as MERLIC RTE has been started, it is ready to receive commands from the PLC. The data exchange between MERLIC and the PLC is transmitted via protocols.

While MERLIC RTE is running, the PLC and MERLIC can exchange data via reserved input and output memory on the Hilscher card. If a parameter containing a tuple A tuple is a list of elements, e.g., numeric values and strings. is transmitted during the process integration mode, only the first value of the tuple is transmitted. MERLIC transmits and expects the data without data alignment.
