HALCON Lecturer License Information

HALCON is a leading machine vision software, trusted by industries worldwide for its powerful tools and flexibility across a wide range of applications, including automation, quality control, and AI-driven solutions.
The HALCON Lecturer License is designed to assist educators in teaching machine vision. This free license is based on the HALCON Progress edition and allows lecturers to distribute licenses to their entire class through a dedicated online portal. It includes the latest features and deep learning functions, making it an ideal tool for teaching advanced topics. The license is valid for one academic term and can be extended upon request.

Including MVTec's Embedded Vision

Embedded devices have become increasingly important in modern production scenarios of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT aka Industry 4.0). As a result embedded vision has gained great relevance for academic teaching and research. As part of the HALCON Progress Student Edition, all lecturers, researchers, and students can benefit from HALCON's machine vision power on Arm®-based platforms (currently limited to Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson boards).
