AI-based technologies in MVTec software

Deep Learning In Machine Vision

Deep learning enables complex machine vision tasks where classical methods reach their limits – for example, detecting variable surfaces, amorphous shapes, or unknown defects.

Our software provide fully integrated deep learning functions for industrial applications. Training, validation, and inference can be performed directly within the software environment – on GPUs (Graphics Processing Units), CPUs (Central Processing Units), or Arm®-based systems.

Deep Learning In Comparison

Classical machine vision relies on rule-based methods. Deep learning, in contrast, learns features automatically—an advantage for complex, variable objects.

Our Deep Learning Methods

We offer a broad range of powerful deep learning methods for a wide variety of machine vision tasks.

Get Started With Deep Learning

From data acquisition and labeling to inference: With MVTec HALCON and the MVTec Deep Learning Tool, you have a complete toolchain for deep learning projects.

Hardware acceleration with the AI² interface

For maximum performance, deep learning models can be executed directly on specialized hardware.

Benefits of Deep Learning with MVTec

Automatic feature extraction: No manual feature engineering required.

Robustness: High tolerance to lighting and material variations.

Fast adaptation: Models can be trained for changed production conditions.

Efficient development: Shorter development times through optimized workflows.
