MVTec Interfaces

MVTec offers a wide range of interfaces for image acquisition, digital I/O devices, AI accelerator hardware, and dongles.

This enables us to lay the technical foundation for integrating machine vision software into a wide variety of hardware and system environments.

Availability & Installation

This page lists only manufacturer-specific interfaces.

All other interfaces can be installed via the MVTec Software Manager.

HALCON includes selectable subpackages for each interface. You can select these in the package selection section of the Software Manager.
MERLIC includes the interfaces by default in the basic fileset.

MVTec HALCON

Interfaces for HALCON

MVTec provides interfaces for digital I/O and image acquisition that are compatible with a range of HALCON versions. MVTec indicates compatibility directly in the version name of each interface.

Example: GigEVision2 Interface for all GigE Vision compliant Devices Rev. 20.11.17 (x64-win64)

An interface version always consists of three numbers separated by dots, for example 20.11.17. The first two numbers indicate the minimum HALCON version the interface supports. In this example, the interface is compatible with all HALCON versions from 20.11 onward. The last number indicates the revision of the interface, in this case revision 17.

MVTec MERLIC

Interfaces for MERLIC

MVTec delivers MERLIC with the interface versions required for operation. MVTec therefore recommends not replacing or updating these interfaces with downloads from this page in most cases.

AI hardware

AI² Interface

MVTec extends the integration of AI hardware with the AI² Interface (AI Accelerator Interface).
