New version 25.12 of the MVTec License Server released

With MVTec License Server Cloud-Ready 25.12, HALCON licenses can be borrowed, enabling operation during network failures and offline.

MVTec License Server Cloud-Ready 25.12 introduces license borrowing for MVTec HALCON 25.11 and newer, ensuring uninterrupted operation during network outages or offline work. Licenses can be borrowed up to six weeks in advance for a maximum of seven days and can be generated for any dongle or MAC bound host ID, enabling both local and remote use. Borrowing is triggered either through a simple browser-based UI or via a JRPC query, giving users maximum flexibility. During the borrow period, the license is reserved exclusively for that host. The borrowed entitlement is delivered as a license.dat for standard deployment.

The release also improves reliability. A rare crash issue has been fixed, the Linux version now generates the correct .service system file, and the CodeMeter package has been updated to version 8.40b.

For full details, see the release notes.

The License Server can be downloaded and installed via the MVTec Software Manager. For more information, see the MVTec Software Manager documentation.
