New MVTec Academy course: Parallel programming with HALCON

This advanced training introduces you to the concept of parallel programming with HALCON. The application of parallel programming allows you to optimize the performance of your HALCON program and take full advantage of multicore or multiprocessor hardware.

Target group

This advanced training is aimed at HALCON users who want to use

parallelization (the parallel processing of tasks),
multithreading (the distribution of tasks to multiple threads, which can run in parallel),

or both, with the goal of optimizing the performance of their HALCON programs.

Objectives

After finishing this course, you will:

understand that there are different strategies for accomplish parallel programming with HALCON,
be aware of automatic operator parallelization (AOP) in HALCON, and how to make optimal use of it,
have learned how to implement and optimize parallelization in HDevelop programs, and
know how to apply multithreading within HALCON programs, written in HDevelop or in a programming language supported by a language interface.

It will take you approximately 90 minutes to complete the course with all modules.
