Deep Learning Tool 26.10: Reuse datasets and evaluate models more flexibly

Available from October 30, 2026, the MVTec Deep Learning Tool 26.10 brings the following updates:

• Import image data and labels from other tools in COCO or YOLO format.
• Use the complete Out-of-Distribution Detection workflow, now including evaluation.
• Inspect individual Deep OCR character results, filter text with custom strings or regular expressions, and check detection and recognition inference times. Export detection and recognition models separately from combined evaluations.
• Load and evaluate external pretrained models. Create multiple evaluations per model to test different parameters.

The release also brings workflows closer to HALCON: select a target HALCON version during training to suit your deployment environment and check discrepancies between project and model classes before evaluation. Further improvements help users get started and simplify navigation and labeling.

How do I get the new version?

You can download and install the new version using the MVTec Software Manager (SOM). Be sure to click “refresh from server” first to get the most up-to-date list of available versions. For users who cannot use the online installer, we also provide an offline installer on the MVTec website.
