New MVTec Dongle – One Dongle for all Products

Starting April 2026, MVTec Software simplifies license management: a single USB dongle can now be used to license all MVTec products.

In April 2026, MVTec Software is switching to unified USB dongles. The new dongles are available in two versions: a compact dark blue model and a stainless steel model with an eyelet to prevent loss.

The hardware is identical to previous models. On the software side, however, the new dongles enable licensing of all MVTec products with a single device for the first time. This is a significant simplification, especially in development, test, and training environments.

Existing dongles remain fully valid and compatible. No replacement is necessary, and mixed use of old and new dongles is seamless. Existing certifications (e.g., CE) remain valid (see: https://www.wibu.com/support/product-certificates.html). Pricing and the three-year warranty also remain unchanged.
