New MVTec Academy course: Mosaicking – stitching images with HALCON

This basic training introduces you to the mosaicking technologies in HALCON. The course shows you how to combine several images into one large mosaic image. Thus, this technology enables you to create a large image of an object or scene that would otherwise be impossible to fit within the field of view of a single camera.

Target group

This basic training is aimed at HALCON users who want to learn how to stitch multiple images. Some basic HALCON skills are advantageous.

Objectives

After finishing this course, you will:

Understand what mosaicking is as well as the different approaches that exist.
Be able to develop a mosaicking application with a calibrated setup.
Be able to develop a mosaicking application with an uncalibrated setup.
Understand the differences, benefits, and drawbacks of calibrated and uncalibrated approaches.

It will take you approximately 75 minutes to complete the course with all modules.
