MVTec Deep Learning Tool 25.12 is out now

On December 4, 2025, we released the new version 25.12 of the MVTec Deep Learning Tool and thus consistently further developed our portfolio for AI-based machine vision.

New features

Tags for Image Management

Tags are a flexible tool that opens up many options for data management in the Deep Learning Tool. A tag is a user defined string associated with one or many images. Its usage can be just as varied as the many different applications that the DLT is used for.

Load and train HALCON models from previous versions

The Deep Learning Tool Professional now enables users to load pretrained models from previous HALCON versions. This enables the continuous maintenance and retraining of models that have been replaces in newer versions of the Deep Learning Tool.

Move and rename images on disk

Users can now move and rename images from within the Deep Learning Tool. A change of application to move or rename is no longer required. This will also change the images on your disk or file share.

Edit validation rate to speed up training

Users can now lower or even disable validation during training, in order to gain a speed up.

How to get it?

You can download and install this new version via the MVTec Software Manager (SOM). Be sure to first hit “refresh from server” to get the latest list of available versions. For users who cannot use the online installer, we also provide an offline installer on the MVTec website.
